About Tom

Tom Myers is a comedian who tackles any subject. Whether the topic is current events, social and political issues or a topic other comedians would not even approach, Tom is not afraid to make you laugh about it using his straight-talking, no-holds-barred manner. A lifelong resident of the metropolitan area of Baltimore, Maryland, Tom parlays his observations and insights into his surroundings and current events as well as his experiences growing up in Maryland into an act that has taken him to more than 30 states plus DC and Canada.

Tom currently writes, hosts and produces the eponymous comedy/news/current events podcast “Tom Myers vs. the Rest of the World,” where he hosts discussions with comedians, artists and political figures such as science writer Tara Haelle, former Maryland Democratic Party chair and candidate for Lt. Governor Susan Turnbull, and political activist Amy Siskind. He also hosts a weekly (or semi-weekly schedule pending) booked Zoom mic, “Tom Myers vs. the Rest of the Zoom Comics,” featuring comedians from all over the country and the world. He is also a regular co-host on the “Dat Phan and Friends” Zoom hybrid comedy showcase. Tom regularly performs at the Lou Costello Room in Baltimore and at the Stand Comedy Club in New York City.

Tom has made several appearances at comedy festivals spanning three decades, including the Baltimore Comedy Fest, the LOL @ Artscape in Baltimore, the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas and other cities, the Cape May Comedy Festival, the Charm City Comedy Fest in Baltimore, the Greater Northern Virginia Comedy and Film Festival in 2019, the Gilda Radner's LaughFest in Grand Rapids, the virtual Las Vegas 420 Cannabis Comedy Festival and the virtual ComeDay 2021 showcase commemorating International Joke Day.

Previously, Tom has made numerous appearances in many multimedia ventures. He has performed on shows such as Baltimore’s “Comcast Comedy Spotlight” and DC’s “Capital Comedy Connection.” He has appeared on other podcasts/radio shows such as “The Tom Myers Radio Hour” (later extended to two hours and renamed “The Myers Experience”), “Walrus and Friends,” and “PolitiPod” and has made guest appearances on podcasts such as “Real Ass Podcast” and “Comedy Fight Club.” He has made walk-on appearances on “VEEP” and “House of Cards” and has also appeared in re-enactment shows on Investigation Discovery and the National Geographic Channel.

In the summer of 2021, Tom was the host of the Rampantly Comedy Network’s Green Mic, where he oversaw some of the most diverse line-ups in Zoom comedy. For the network’s virtual Hallo-week 2021 festivities, he hosted his own edgy-material-themed show “Dark of Night.”

To date, Tom has released four albums (“Words of Mass Destruction,” “Pitchforks, Torches and Other Random Thoughts,” “Shot from The Quip,” and “Make America Innate Again,”) and is currently writing material and preparing for an upcoming tour and upcoming album called “Lack of Apology.”
